Planning the terrace

Well, it's been a while since I've written about organizing, cleaning or decorating, so I thought it was about time I did.

Today I thought I'd show you all what we've been planning for our terrace next year. We'll probably be moving in around the end of August, so the weather will still be warm enough to do "something" with it. However, most of the work (a.k.a. furniture buying) will be done next spring.

This is the layout we've planned for now, keeping in mind the measurements.
The flat originally had a built-in canopy, that broke several years ago and the landlord refuses to install it again because of the price. So, we've decided we'll probably get one of those huge parasols, in cream, to put over the table.

The vegetable patch is going to be a simple raised bed, made from scrap pieces of wood, about 80cm x 1,5m. It won't be too big, but big enough for a couple tomato plants, peppers, courgettes and aubergines. Something along these lines:

The cupboard, probably a plastic one, is just to hide all the gardening material inside: extra soil, fertilizer, spades...

All the pink things scattered around the terrace are supposed to be plant pots, with lovely green plants, with colourful flowers. We still haven't decided which kind we want, I guess it depends on what they have at the store when we go.

We also want to put a nice kennel for Jake, for when the weather's warmer (he'll stay warm and dry inside during the cold months of winter).

We'll probably tweak things on the go, but will keep you all updated!!
